What Do you Call A Queen? (AnnaLyse’s Song)

Hilla Stormbringer

What Do you Call A Queen? (AnnaLyse’s Song)
What do you call a queen?
Oh what do you call a queen?
You can't be smarmy or obscene,
So what do you call a queen?

We hear the queen's demand
It rings throughout the land
Now "love and beauty's" rightly banned
What else do we have at hand?

A queen should be revered
Her name should not be sneered
I wonder, will she grow a beard?
Oh this is getting weird!

A queenly title's good
I'd create one if I could
Like something I might carve on wood--
Have I misunderstood?

A queen of wind and sky
Where birds and dragons fly
And dine on mince and apple pie
Oh should I even try?

A queen of fire and might
Or a queen of hope and light
A queen that guides us through the night
Will I ever get this right?

A name that's not demure
Nor something that's impure
Something fierce, of this I'm sure
A name that must endure

The Dragon Queen is strong
May her life be full and long
Will I be banished for this song?
This could go very wrong....

What do you call a queen?
Oh what do you call a queen?
Whate'er she wishes, this I glean
Yes, that's what you call a queen!
