The Frostyman

Tune: The Wellerman (trad)

The Frostyman

Well I once built a snowman right jolly
And the name that I gave him, it was Frosty
And I thought that together we might have some fun
When cold the winter winds blow

Soon will the Frostyman come
And join us in wassail with winter rum
And when the snowing is done
We’ll take our gloves and go

Well the hat it was magic and life it brought
Frosty moved and spoke and so we sought
To sled down the hills and head into town
While cold the winter winds blow

Soon will the Frostyman come
And join us in wassail with winter rum
And when the snowing is done
We’ll take our gloves and go

Well we leapt and we sang, dancing left and right
And we sledded right through the traffic light
The police tried to catch us – we got away
As cold the winter winds blow

Soon will the Frostyman come
And join us in wassail with winter rum
And when the snowing is done
We’ll take our gloves and go

But the sun it was shining and I had to say
Frosty, head up north ere you melt away
To the arctic circle, there you will be safe
Until the winter winds blow

Soon will the Frostyman come
And join us in wassail with winter rum
And when the snowing is done
We’ll take our gloves and go

Soon will the Frostyman come
And join us in wassail with winter rum
And when the snowing is done
We’ll take our gloves and go
