Heart of the Hills

Hilla Stormbringer

Far underground lurk the shadows of the dark
Tied to the earth are the embers of my soul
Deep in the woods lie the seeds of the green
And we all grow together in the heart of the
hills

Oh you can run but you can't hide
When you hear the call
A circle of salt and three bright nails
And a mirror in the hall

Mind what you do in your time on the earth
Take care how you pass through the green of
the woods
And don't wake the dark as it sleeps
underground
Or shadows come a-walking through the heart of
the hills

Well you can run but you can't hide
When you hear the call
A circle of salt and three bright nails
And a mirror in the hall

Well what will you do when the dark's at your
door
And who will you call when the day turns to
night
Oh did you repent of the harm that you've done
And will you see the morning in the heart of
the hills

Well you can run but you can't hide
When you hear the call
A circle of salt and three bright nails
And a mirror in the hall

The stag and the bear keep watch from the
green
The rain and the sun wash the stain from the
woods
And call on us now and we'll come to your side
For family stands together in the heart of the
hills

Well you can run but you can't hide
When you hear the call
A circle of salt and three bright nails
And a mirror in the hall

You can run but you can't hide
When you hear the call
A circle of salt and three bright nails
And a mirror in the hall
