Fireflies in the Twilight (Bonfire Song)

Hilla Stormbringer

Fireflies in the Twilight (Bonfire Song)

Like fireflies in the twilight
Gold as the sunlight on high
The sparks arise from our bonfire
To light the stars in the sky

The fire burning so brightly
Warm as a long summer day
It calls us all in the darkness
A while it asks us to stay

The music of the cicadas
The whispering of the breeze
A gentle welcome are sending
Beneath the green of the trees

So let us gather together
Too long have we been apart
United all in our purpose
The song that lives in our hearts

Our voices joining in chorus
The notes that ring clear and true
The circle ever unbroken
I pass the fire unto you
