Second watch tonight as the world rolls along,

Drift in the tide as wakefulness ebbs

To an ocean of sleep--but not to rest!

  Dream sentry, at watch in the night

  For a weary world asleep.

  Dream sentry, denying the night

  To the horror from the deep.



Once we studied dreams as human psychology,
Warped, crazy mirrors of our inner despair,
Until we found the Block--and suddenly, peace,
For none of it was ours, it was all from Beyond!

  Dream sentry on guard in the night,
  Keep alive the hope of day.
  Dream sentry, preserving the light,
  Now at last we see our way.




Two A.M.  I awake, exhausted,
As third watch reliefs hold a hemisphere's care.
Now we dream by day, in our hearts, in our hands,
For the Future is a Dream, then a Will, then a Fact!

  From the poison in the sky,
  Dream sentry, preserving the birth
  Of our freedom from the Lie.

  Dream sentry, on guard in the night,
  Keep alive the hope of day.
