Not Yet Done

Forannán Glórach

Said Finn when the hunt failed: today was not our day
Our spears broke and our bows missed and the skies have been so gray
But besides you stands another who would hear those cares and say
Come drink beside my fire and we’ll find another way

For there’s still battles to be won and there’s still glory to be sung
There’s an open road before us, friends aplenty for the chorus
And at this fire our story’s not yet done

And when Finn was off at battle, and Oisin left at Almu,
He would sing to the wounded, to the broken and the blue
Not to rush back to adventure, but to rest and rise anew
Tomorrow brings another chance to prove your heart is true!

For there’s still battles to be won and there’s still glory to be sung
There’s an open road before us, friends aplenty for the chorus
And at this fire our story’s not yet done

Now Finn died at Gabhra, and Oisin went far away,
And the wilderness between kings’ claims is shrinking day by day
But there still remains one question to be answered come what may
When destiny comes calling, what will you have to say?

For there’s still battles to be won and there’s still glory to be sung
There’s an open road before us, friends aplenty for the chorus
And at this fire our story’s not yet done

And your story’s not yet done!
