The paradelle is a 4-stanza poem. Each stanza consists of 6 lines. First 2 lines of each stanza is the same The last stanza uses all the words and only the words used in stanzas 1 through 3 Bast takes care of her own Bast takes care of her own The hunters, sleepers, chasers The hunters, sleepers, chasers Her own the sleepers, hunters, chasers Takes care of bast Across the rainbow bridge Across the rainbow bridge They wait purring They wait purring Wait the rainbow bridge They across purring wait For the long awaited return For the long awaited return Of their loved owner Of their loved owner For awaited the return Of their long loved owner They bridge the rainbow Of the long loved owner The hunters await, sleepers purring The chasers wait across For their return Bast takes care of her own. |
