Season of Hope

Taliesin Wordweaver

My soul recites the song of the year
I face the fates, release my fear

Seed to earth, sun to leaf,
Scythe to grain, soul to sky

The seasons cycle, the sun goes ‘round,
East to west, up to down

Health be good, heart be warm,
Hand be open, head be clear

I weave these words of wisdom to say
Good is the gift of gladness today

Wood be loom, wool be thread,
Weft be soft, warp be strong

Green is the grass where the lambs will graze,
Bright is the branch where fruits will blaze

Cloth be sewn, cloths be warm,
Clasp be gold, cloak be long

Sow the soil with a certain hand
Plant and pluck and reap as planned

Roads be smooth, roofs be sound,
Rains be kind, roots be deep

For time beyond telling, the wheel has turned.
For love and laughter and light we yearned

Wish be action, wants be met,
word be spoken, whisper be heard

The seers have sent the secret of old
Hope is a hearth when heart goes cold

Seed to earth, sun to leaf,
Scythe to grain, soul to sky
