Typical Tavern Drinking Song

Ríoghnach Locha Eachach

CHORUS
It's just your typical tavern drinking song!
Drinking until the dawn will come!
Nothing ventured, nothing gained
So we all sing along
To our typical tavern drinking song!
Hold up your cups until they're gone!
Hair o' the dog will fight your frown
When you can't recall
Why your trouser's down
And the way home's awful long
You can still hum__________
To your typical tavern drinking song!

Now everyone come gather 'round
It's time to see what tonight's about
A bit of drink and dance, I think
And then we'll bring the tavern down!

Old Olyeg's got the right of it now
He's three drinks in and he's starting to bow
When last we saw, he'd had but four
And danced his partner into the ground!

CHORUS

Now Emma's gotten a wall board out
Just one more nail could've held it down!
More's the better for the waiter
This one'll hold the drinks for now!

Here comes John now, all in a huff
He's sayin' that should be enough
There won't be found another round
Until we get this mess cleaned up

CHORUS

You might be wonderin' what happened with John
Of course, we ended what we'd begun
With one good round, we turned his frown
And the rest in the lake with his trousers on!

CHORUS
