The Dangers of Magic

Ríoghnach Locha Eachach

There's something I have found
That has brought me much relief
For before I had learned it
I had faced a deal of grief

CHORUS
I thought that it was bad
The very first time that I saw it
But now I know it's worse
Because now I've gone and done it

A lady fair as summer's day
Did waltz into the life
Of a young man who did never think
That she could cause him strife

But lo did he behold something
That chilled him like a blizzard
For she did claim a brother
Who was quite the adept wizard

CHORUS

I said that I would never make
The mistakes that he did
I'd marry myself a lovely wife
With nary a relative

The problem I did come to find
After I had gotten hitched
My lady wife, indeed herself
Was a deadly powerful witch

CHORUS

Now, I never should have ever
Given one thought for to cheat
But I am a lech'rous bastard
So I must admit defeat

And so, my friends, I leave you
With this very strong advice
If you deign to mess with any mage
You will not do it twice
