Samhain Nights

Ríoghnach Locha Eachach

Deep in the autumn, the moon held high
Gather we here by the bonfire light
Joined by the magic of Samhain's might
And by the ghosts of those yet to die

Welcome the dark half of the year
Sunset to sunset, revel here
Harvest ends, new season nears
Boundaries waver and disappear

Perched on the veil, the time draws nigh
Dancing and rev'lry to take flight
Look not into your partners' eyes
Fair Folk remain disguised tonight

Summon spirit, ye spirits here
Mumming and guising banish fear
Friends and family we hold dear
Drift together, drawing near

Ancestors past, futures divined
This and the Other world collide
No walls between when we reside
Welcome winter, dawn of night
