Within the dark
Beyond the firelight's reach
It lingers there
Even now, it hears me sing

Its eyes are dark
Its claws, twice a man's reach
In silence there
Listening now as I sing

Its hide is dark
To sneak within your reach
In shadow there
Coming close to hear me sing

Its heart is dark
Beyond any light's reach
It's beating there
With the rhythm as I sing

My fate is dark
Beyond your help or reach
I know it's there
Coming for me as I sing

This beast so dark
Is now within my reach
You see it there?
Now it ends, as I--
(mime being slashed across the throat and fall to the ground dramatically)
