Holding Out for Pennsic

Ríoghnach Locha Eachach

(To the tune of "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler)

Where has all my money gone
And where's the room in my car?
Where's the darn tent pole that's lost
And where's my credit card?
Isn't there a smidgeon of budget left at all?
It's late at night, but I'm almost ready
To leave for Pennsic War

CHORUS
I need to leave soon
I'm running low on money but I'm still on the move
The budget is blown and the plans are all wrong
But I've done my best to press on through
I need to leave soon
I've just got some packing that is left to do
My bank account's dry; it's credit suicide
And I really need to head out soon

Head out soon

Now I'm here at Pennsic
And I can't believe my eyes
There are so many things to do
And so many things to buy
And a few of the classes
Even cost a couple bucks
A little bit here, a little bit there
My God, I am so out of luck

CHORUS

But once the war is over, I need my fix
Yeah, I'm an addict, I admit
I could swear there's a force here somewhere
And I love it
Despite the rain and the chill in the night
And the hot sun above
I can feel the war calling out for my blood
Calling out for my blood x3
Blood!

CHORUS x2
