consists of mainly Northshielders and
primarily performs at Pennsic, but has also
performed before Northshield Court and for
elevations. We perform mainly original songs
written by group members, and we do some
period pieces as well. Arrangements are a
collaboration by all involved at a given

(called Covelee) will perform a selection of
original pieces inspired by historical events,
historical figures, and SCA experiences,
with a few trouvère songs (with new English
translations) mixed in. Mostly a capella, but
occasionally accompanied with guitar!
Depending upon who is in attendance, a few of
Covelee's friends may join in.
Covelee is perhaps best known for her Norman
songs, such as "Matilda, 1140."
