Brendan O Corraidhe
![]() ![]() |

![]() |
Brendan O Corraidhe (BREN-dan oh COR-ee) is a 10th-century Irish fellow. Born to poor parents, he
was left at a monastery as an infant. There he learned to read and write, and developed a talent for storytelling and music. Like many of his Irish-monk contemporaries he was sent to Europe to evangelize the heathens on the Continent. Eventually he found himself in the Current Middle Ages about AS XIV. In the SCA, Brendan is primarily known as a bard and dishwasher (he was given a Purple Fret for "entertaining kitchen staff" and leading scullery-crew sing-alongs), though he dabbles in other arts and sciences, and was once squired to King Denar of Ansteorra. Formerly a resident of Ansteorra and Northshield, he has been in Cleftlands since 2004. His highest-ranking awards are the Evergreen and the Iris of Merit, an Ansteorran grant-level arts award. He is active in the Northern Oaken region, but is only rarely able to travel further afield. He was chosen as Queen's Bardic Champion to Amalie of Beckenham I. Cerian Cantwr

![]() |
![]() Cerian Cantwr is a bard in the mid-15th century. He can be found wandering the land entertaining the populace with song, story, and poem. In the SCA, he edits far too many SCA videos, maintains the MidBards website, and his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@CeriansKeep). He is also the retired, founding provost for Mid-Realm Bardic Madness and spent 7 years as seneschal of Tree-Girt-Sea in expiation of his sins (which must have been legion). He is squired to Sir Galem Lionel Ostwestly (deceased) and Duke Sir Comar gyr Mirand. Charles Grab is an independent computer consultant in the early 21st century. He can be found wandering the land building databases, applications, and system designs. Cerian can be heard on some of John Inchingham's CDs - available either from him or at the merchant booths of Celtic Sun or John ap Wynne. I have four current and three former apprentices: THL Juliane Bechaumpe [Cleftlands] THL Llwelyn Glyndwr (aka Llwelyn Glyndyverdwy) [Cleftlands] THL Siobhán an Einigh of Connacht [Ravenslake] Lady Orsina della Luna [Carolingia, East] Mistress Lucia Elena Braganza (former apprentice and OL) [Sternfeld] Mistress Beatrice de Winter (former apprentice and OL) [Rhydderich Hael, Æthelmearc] Magister Hilla Stormbringer (former apprentice and OL) [Ravenslake] Interests: Bardic, Magic, Music, Poetry, Theatre, waffles

Persona:
Hilla is the eldest child and only daughter of Hama Ealdorman and his wife Leofrun. Though she is a capable enough cook and aid in household duties, and though she can darn a sock like no one's business, Hilla's true skill is as a Scop. She loves to sing and craft songs and tales, and tell old legends in the feasting hall. Storms follow her wherever she goes. SCA: Magister Hilla Stormbringer can be seen (or at least heard) at events, singing, singing, singing, causing mischief and mayhem, and randomly telling stories. She also plays the onion flute. Her other activities include baking, occasional illumination, and attempting to not bleed on embroidery. Hilla is the current Bard of Ravenslake. She is a former member of Queen Sadb's Bard Guard, former Bard of the Border and former Bard of the Midlands. Hilla is the teacher of the incredible Honorable Lady Taliesin Wordweaver, and belt- sibling to the amazing Honorable Filidh Siobhán an Einigh of Connacht. Hilla is also a former apprentice of Master Cerian Cantwr, and former protégé of esteemed storyteller Mistress Morgana bro Morganwg. Hilla is the current Provost for Bardic Madness Midrealm. She also hosts an online bardic circle every other Saturday which celebrated its 4th anniversary in April 2024. She was the instigator-in-chief of the Ethereal Bardic Symposiums and the first Bardic Skirmishes. She was one of the event stewards for Bardic War. Contrary to popular belief, Hilla cannot control the weather. (Disclaimer: Hilla cannot independently confirm the veracity of the last statement.) Interests: Bardic, Calligraphy & Illumination, Cooking, Embroidery, Heraldry, History, Music, Poetry, Research, Theatre, Pyrography

I am Karl Von Rothenburg. I have been in the SCA for about 25 years. I do basic armoring. In
learning that, I branched into jewelry making via tool work and acid etching. In my quest for better garb, I improved my sewing and embroidery skills. I also enjoy woodworking and woodcarving. I look forward to seeing the artistic talent of our Kingdom.

Known for spinning, wool working, and wanting to own all the sheep in the world. (Muwahaha) Research
includes sheep breeds in history (focus on England for the moment) and working with breed specific wool when I can. I also do bobbin lace, weaving (inkle and card), research into Viking age, and fiber arts. I'm starting to learn book binding, although I'm at the modern end of that. And yes, I have an interest in learning All The Things.

Siobhán an Einigh of Connacht
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
|
![]() |
Siobhán an Einigh of Connacht is an Irish filidh bard from the kingdom of Connacht, which became the
western region of what we now called Ireland. She lived during the tumultuous times surrounding the rise of Brian Boru to power during the early 1000s. She is actually against Boru in the conflict, as Boru's men destroyed her family's lands, leaving her homeless. Where beforehand she entertained as a bard-in-training, made books, and hunted rabbits for the family table, now she sings battle songs, makes armor and hunts in service to her Connachta lords. She is fostered to a formal bardic clan and continues her training as a filidh (ranked) bard. Also see me on Midbards! Yngerame Erskyne
(Mynydd Seren ![]() |
|
![]() |
My name is Yngerame Erskyne, of Mynydd Seren. I have my Willow in dance and dye work, and my Evergreen in dance. I love teaching and learning danc and fiber arts of all kind.
I make all of my own garb, help others with patterning, make much of my own jewelry and accessories, and make trinkets for gambling as well. One of my favorite things is making garb from art - figuring out how to pattern and shape garb based only on shape and hints from artists is such a fun research project for me! I have taught classes on making wire rings, constructing a beginner tunic, and how to drop spindle. I focus mainly on European dance, specifically Italian dance, and translate from the original Italian as often as possible. I am currently in charge of my Shire's dance practices and teach dance every year at Terpsichore at the Tower, Lilies War in Calontir, and most other events I can go to!
