We've now filled the class schedule for Bardic Madness South VIII. Barring surprises, this is the class schedule for this year.

Class session 1 (11 to 12):
Using Your Voice: a Period to Modern Instruction Jose Sao Pacian How can we sing all night, be heard, and not be hoarse before midnight? A voice class with both a period look and a modern look at voice production and health.
Sonnet Writing Ingus Moen Different meters and rhyme schemes for writing a sonnet. Could come in handy for the sonnet challenge in the next fyt.
Bodhran & Bones Alexander de Seaton Basics on how to play a boudhran or a pair of bones.
Bardic Ecosystem Owen Alun Ways and means of helping the bardic arts to flourish.


Class session 2 (1:30 to 2:30):
Anthropology of the SCA Huginn Hrothgeirsson A look at the SCA as a cultural phenomenon. Who we are and what we do may be best explained by thinking of ourselves as a people with our own culture.
Improv Games John Inchingham Theatrical improvisation - deigned to help you learn to think on your feet.
Thirteen Midieval Melodies Amelie d'Anjou A baker's dozen of period tunes all ready for you to put new words to them.
Sephardic Music Eliane Halevy Discover the music of those descended from the Iberian Jews of the time of the Expulsion. It's catchy, melodic and why does it sound so Middle Eastern? Eliane will tell you why.
