Eyjafjallajo

Hilla Stormbringer

Have you ever been to Eyjafjallajökull?
No, I’ve never been to Eyjafjallajökull.
Well, it gave us quite a scare,
And the ash was everywhere.
That’s why I’ll never go to
Eyjafjallajökull.

Up in Iceland you’ll find
Eyjafjallajökull.
There’s a glacier over Eyjafjallajökull!
There was lava flaming red,
Or at least that’s what they said
When the skalds would sing of
Eyjafjallajökull.

There was lightning striking
Eyjafjallajökull,
And the clouds were dark at
Eyjafjallajökull
There was melting ice and snow
Running to the plains below
And the steam was thick at
Eyjafjallajökull.

Wind was blowing cold at
Eyjafjallajökull,
Blowing long and hard from
Eyjafjallajökull.
And the ash was soaring high
So that sparrows couldn’t fly!
Oh the spring was ruined by
Eyjafjallajökull

I have trouble spelling Eyjafjallajökull:
E-Y-J---- la la la Eyjafjallajökull!
To pronounce it is a pain,
And it gave my tongue a sprain!
It’s a hazard saying Eyjafjallajökull!

La la la la la la Eyjafjallajökull!
La la la la la la Eyjafjallajökull!
La la la la la la la,
La la la la la la la,
La la la la la la Eyjafjallajökull!
