Mirror, Mirror

Ríoghnach nEachach

Mirror, mirror, have you seen
A sweet girl looking back at me?
I have searched, but I can't find
The one who left me here behind

Mirror, mirror, looking out
Or looking in—which is it now?
Could it be that she can't find
The one who left me here behind?

Mirror, here it's dark and cold
A little world that's all my own
Does she miss me? Does she find
She needs that which she left behind?

Mirror, mirror, I can't breathe
Open my eyes and let me see
That sweet girl whom I cannot find
The one who left me here behind

Mirror, reflections are cast
But never saved, and never last
Why is it that here I find
A silent trap left here behind?

Mirror, please, why do you cage me?
I see her now; let her embrace me
Stop this barrier I find
Between us, leaving me behind

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Why'm I loneliest of all?
