Choices, Choices

Ríoghnach Locha Eachach

The Tickhead Tavern's closing time
We always wish farewell with wine
The Broken Barrel's nighttime carol's
Sung off-key; at least it rhymes

Adder's Alehouse is open late
If you know how to pick the gate
But sunrise comes and then we're done
Stumbling home at half-past—
(spoken, interrupting over last line) Hey, what's that?

CHORUS
Looks like beer, might be piss
Who can tell, t' be completely hones’?
Pick it up; give it a sniff
Pass it 'round if you can't tell which
A drink! A drink!
Not like us to discriminate
A drink! A drink!
Not too fancy for our taste

Bastard's Brew's open till two
But they'll let you stay until you're through
Mr. Haney's only fee is
That you buy him his drinks too

Always the last stop of the night
Comes at break of morning light
The final treasure's nighttime pleasure's
Finding something new to try

CHORUS

Some might say we're raving mad
They just don't know the night we've had
We've never been first to turn in
And never will, for which we're glad!

CHORUS
