Warmups for the Martial Artist Baron AElfred of Chester BaronAOC@aol.com 1 hour Practical Participants in this class will first be led through a series of breathing and stretching exercises suitable for use before a fighting practice or tournament. The second part of the class will have the participants doing a series of easy to use strengthening exercises that can be done anywhere. Comfortable clothing suitable for a light workout.
Basic Combat Archery Equipment Lord Brun Canutesson WBFOUNTAIN@aol.com 1 hour Discussion This course is an examination of construction methods for the various types of SCA legal CA equipment that is currently being used. This will range from Wooden shafts to tubular shafts and all the different types of tips that are available. we will also examine a few styles of bows and how they can be obtained and/or constructed. Marshaling Issues for CA & Siege Lord Brun Canutesson WBFOUNTAIN@aol.com 1 hour Discussion This course will look at the different types of issues that may crop up when you add CA and siege to the traditional melee environment. Focus will range from inspections to arraigning the battlefield, and conclude with the examination of possible issues that may arise during the battle. None
Battlefield Situational Awareness (or - Where did that arrow come from?) Examination of theories behind "Situational Awareness" will focus both on the proper use of CA and how to defend yourself from CA. None
