Mirror of a Lady

Ursula the Widow

Chorus:
She's the model and the mirror of a lady,
She's everything a lady should be.

Verses:
A knight waits his turn on the list field
His thought is not of sword or blow
His eyes seek the one who inspires him
His lady, who makes his heart glow.
Without her his fight has no meaning,
To victory, her favor's the key.

A maiden sits stitching her sampler,
Her mistress tells a tale of chivalry.
The girl vows one day to be like her
As honored and worthy as she.
Her words flow with wisdom and kindness,
She never fails in courtesy --
She's the model and the mirror of a lady,
She's everything a lady should be.

For battle the army stands ready,
Their eyes and their swords sharp and keen.
Each fighter thirsts for the honor
Of serving our high and noble Queen.
The youngest lad never has seen her,
But he knows what her rose token means:
She's the model and the mirror of a lady,
She's everything a lady should be

In Brendoken court sits our baron,
His Baroness beside him bears her part.
Though he claims our swords and our service,
'Tis she who inspires our hearts.
Her first care is ever her people,
A more generous heart you'll not see
She's the model and the mirror of a lady,
She's everything a lady should be.
