Measure At All - Cut Once

Lyrics: Lorelei Skye
            & Margaret Malise de Kyrkntolaghe
Music: Wild Rover

Chorus:
And it's no nay never,
no nay never at all!
I would never cut projects,
without measuring at all
Verses:
Dahrien went to his workshop to make a soft bed,
for fair Mistress Mysie to re-est her head.
It started out simply, and then grew quite tall -
until the pavilion had become too small!

He puzzled and pondered his pre-dic-a-ment:
How the bed and its wardrobe did not fit the tent.
The mattress was perfect for sleeping at night,
but a skylight at Pennsic just wouldn't be right!

The width and the breadth of the footprint he knew
The height of the corner posts he measured, too.
The problem that plagued him and would not relent:
The 10 degree angle of the walls of the tent.

He went to the market his old tent to sell,
and to purchase a larger pavilion as well.
He cut off a foot of the wardrobe so tall,
And truly can say that all's wall that ends wall!

I shouldn't embarrass, I shouldn't poke fun.
Cuz I've also made projects before measuring 's done.
And I've started over and over again-
So I'm writing this song to share in the cha-grin!
