The Battle Place

Maelcolm Mor

Called from home to place of war
By peoples plund'ring from afar
By bloody spear, the raven summons
It warns that fire and strife is coming
Truth and honor, proud reward
For all those swearing by the sword
We all come to the same call
Where all are one, and one is all.
Dragon called to guard the land
We bring the finest that we can
To raise our banner where we stand
To call wolf spirit into man.
Morrigu's inspiration comes
From heaven into heart it runs
The Romans vow to never go,
So blood onto the land must flow.
Learn the patterns of the dance
Leave not sword to deadly chance.
We are the wind and storm and thunder
The lightning strike which drives them under
By our swords do we deny them,
By our spears we do defy them
Bind your hearts, make them as one
And join till bloody work is done.
In sacred place our oaths are sworn
In day and evening, night and morn
Our axes sharp, our shields are hard
Our glories told by chief and bard.
Now you who went before pay heed
To our courage and our deeds
Now seal our vow to ward our home,
By Flame, and Sea, and Sky and Stone.
